In-Home Support

Practical assistance with daily life, at home. Support that builds genuine capability rather than simply completing a list of tasks.

What we provide

Everyday capability, built at home.

In-home support at Banksia Care is focused on meaningful everyday capability. Not just getting through a checklist, but helping participants develop confidence, independence and practical skills within their own environment.

Support is built around the participant's routines, preferences and goals. What works for one person may not work for another, and Banksia Care takes the time to understand the individual before deciding what support should look like.

Support may include

  • Daily routines and morning or evening support where appropriate
  • Personal care including continence support, nappies and continence aids are provided based on individual needs
  • Showering and hygiene support using fully accessible, wheelchair-friendly bathrooms and disability-specific toileting facilities
  • Household tasks including cleaning, laundry and home organisation
  • Meal preparation, cooking and kitchen confidence
  • Grocery shopping and errands
  • Appointment support and transport where appropriate
  • Life skills development and practical independence
  • Home-based activities, hobbies and interests
  • Homework support and learning routines where appropriate

Learning doesn't stop when school does.

Banksia Care may assist with homework, organisation, routines, study habits, task initiation and practical learning support. This is not substitute teaching. It is practical support to help participants build confidence and capability with everyday tasks.
