Screening & compliance
What all Banksia Care workers must hold.
All workers engaged by Banksia Care. Whether employed or contracted, are required to hold current clearances before commencing work with participants. These are non-negotiable requirements under the NDIS Practice Standards and applicable state legislation.
NDIS Worker Screening Check
A national check required for all workers in risk-assessed roles under the NDIS. Issued by the relevant state screening unit, in NSW, this is the NDIS Worker Screening Unit within the Department of Communities and Justice. Workers must hold a current clearance before working with NDIS participants.
Working with Children Check (NSW)
Required for all workers who work with children and young people. Issued by the Office of the Children's Guardian in NSW. Workers must hold a current clearance before working with participants under 18.
Current first aid and CPR
All direct support workers are required to hold current first aid and CPR certification.
Relevant qualifications or experience
Role-specific qualifications, registrations or demonstrated experience as required for the position.
